I saw A Free Man of Color (Broadway) on 11/13/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 1-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “the show was a failure - a cross between a restoration comedy and an epic saga that just didn't work”

I'd describe the show as pretentious, confused, and unfocused. If this were a movie, I'd rate it R.

I wouldn't see this show again. I sat in the right orchestra area of the theater. The view was clear and the seats were comfortable.

I have posted an expanded review of this show and reviews of several other shows on my blog www.aseatontheaisle.blogspot.com
