I saw A Little Night Music (Broadway) on 07/28/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 4-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “An intelligent, engaging piece of theatre that tackles thorny realities of life and love.”

I had a lovely time and left the show feeling moved and surprised by how much I'd enjoyed the show. I'd describe the show as smart, witty, and complex. Bernadette peters was a highlight of the show because of her brilliant, effortless performance, including her devastating "Send In The Clowns".. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13. I would recommend this show to Sondheim devotees, Bernadette fans, and anyone who can appreciate sophisticated theatre but not to people who just want something simple and catchy.

I saw this show because I was given a comp ticket. I would see it again. I sat in the center mezzanine area of the theater. The view was perfect and the seats were okay.

I really wasn't expecting to love this show as much as I did, especially as I am not normally a huge Sondheim fan, and I think I expected it to be somewhat obtuse and/or boring...but I was definitely drawn in and could relate to the characters and the story. The highly emotional moments in Act 2 especially appealed to me. Also, the entire cast was fantastic, and the set and costumes were gorgeous! I even liked the music.
