I saw Avenue Q (Off Broadway) on 03/16/09. Overall, I'd say it was a 4-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “Hilarious show for mature audiences”

If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13. I would not recommend this show to children under 14.

Hilarious show but it is definitely meant for mature audiences. Don't let the puppets fool you, this is definitely not big bird. If it is touring to your city, go see it. I was laughing from beginning to end. Witty jokes and comments make the show fly by. Song and puppets are too much to handle and the singing is amazing. For a sow that is this funny, the story line is extremely strong, and at the end of the day puts out a good message.
