I saw Brief Encounter (Broadway) on 09/15/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “it is a must see play this season”

This play has a bit of everything including music, singing, comedy, film, drama and even puppets! This is based on the 40's film of the same name by Noel Coward. While the film was a romantic melodrama, this stage version is quite different. The music and lyrics added in were by Noel Coward also. This show reminded me of THE 39 STEPS with various actors playing various roles. The staging was very unique. The British cast was excellent. I loved this show begining to end.
