I saw Chaplin (Broadway) on 12/15/12. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “This is an underappreciated new musical”

Rob McClure is spot on as Chaplin in this new musical. The Costumes are breathtaking. All are in black, white and gray tones mimicing the B&W of the silent flickers. Critics were not entusiastic about this show but the audiance at my performance was on their feet at the end and with tears in their eyes. McClure pulls all the emotion he has out of his last solo. The actor playing the young Charlie was particularly good as was the entire cast. This show is scheduled to close Jan 6, so if you have not seen it - rush to see it soon.
