A Review of Come Fly Away (Broadway)
By Alina G., June 10, 2010
I saw Come Fly Away (Broadway) on 04/21/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 4-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “It was a pleasure to see Twyla Tharp's choreography on stage. The show is a true gem.”
I had a great time and left the show feeling enlightened and uplifted. I'd describe the show as highly-technical (skill wise), inspiring, and beautiful. The choreography was a highlight of the show because Twyla Tharp knows how to put steps together to form a beautiful story. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG. I would recommend this show to dancers but not to kids (it might get a bit boring for them).
I saw this show because I was offered tickets. I would see it again. I sat in the right mezzanine area of the theater. The view was clear and the seats were perfect.
Again, no place to rate choreography but just know that Twyla Tharp is as good as it gets choreography-wise.
