I saw Come Fly Away (Broadway) on 03/03/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 4-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “I was pleasantly surprised. Great to watch. Fun to listen to.”

I had a delightful time and left the show feeling light and entertained. I'd describe the show as interesting, different, and fun. Twyla tharp's story-telling choreography was a highlight of the show because the movement evoked personality and character. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13. I would recommend this show to Sinatra fans and people who are really into dance but not to theatre snobs.

I saw this show because I was offered a comp ticket. I would see it again. I sat in the center orchestra area of the theater. The view was a little far away (I was in the rear orchestra) and the seats were your usual theatre seats.

I was not expecting to like this show as much as I did. The idea of people dancing to tracks instead of live music kind of aggravated me. If I'm going to the theatre, I want everything live. Live. Live. Live.

But the orchestra was really great. They kind of set the mood of he whole evening with the great arrangements of the classic Sinatra tunes. The voice over didn't bother me at all, and the featured female vocalist was very talented.

Twyla does some really great stuff with her choreography. I absolutely understood the characters' personalities and motives simply from the way they were directed to move on stage. There is an element of story telling here that aspects of American Idiot may not have gotten totally right.
