I saw Elling (Broadway) on 11/17/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 2-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “there was a great second act preceded by a mediocre story, acting and blocking in the first act.”

I had a not horrible time and left the show feeling intrigued but not overjoyed and provoked but not thrilled. I'd describe the show as interesting, unusual, and avant garde. Denis o'hare was a highlight of the show because he is one helluva actor. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG. I would recommend this show to Broadway afficianados but not to tourists.

I saw this show because I had free tickets. I wouldn't see it again. I sat in the right orchestra area of the theater. The view was good and the seats were OK.
