I saw Enron (Broadway) on 04/29/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 2-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “A waste of theatrical energy!”

I had a horendous time and left the show feeling annoyed and disappointed. I'd describe the show as annoyingly America hating, porrly choreographed, and overrated. There was none. was a highlight of the show because I expected more form the productiion. If this were a movie, I'd rate it R. I would recommend this show to noone.

I saw this show because someone invited me to it.. I wouldn't see it again. I sat in the center mezzanine area of the theater. The view was good and the seats were ok.

While there were some good performances by Norbert Leo Butz and Marin Mazzie, overall this was a theatrically bloated, overrated piece of theater. They spent so much time explaining what went down with the Enron scandal that I was mostly bored waiting for something to happen. The production numbers inserted into the work did nothing to illuminate the story or carry the story forward.

The director is very talented, I saw his Macbeth on Broadway and that was a first rate production which brought new life to the Shakespeare classic. Here however, he overindulged his theatrical imagination and left us with tinsel on a slug. While I hate to see shows close and people lose their jobs, I was not surprised this production had a short on life on Broadway.
