I saw Fela! (Broadway) on 12/03/09. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “Truly engaging and unique. Highly recommend it!”

I saw Fela in December 2009. It is rare to walk into a Broadway house and feel like something truly unique and different is happening but that's exactly what it felt like the minute we walked in the door. It was like walking into an event, a party, a "happening." A truly immersive experience. And the show itself did not disappoint. Fela's story is fascinating and the show tells it in an inventive and powerful fashion. It should be at the top of your list!
