I saw Follies (Broadway) on 10/08/11. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “This show was worth every penny I spent!”

Follies was everything I wanted to see in a Broadway show. Being a huge fan of Stephen Sondheim, I knew I was in for a treat although I hadn't heard the score in its entirety. Follies restored my confidence that legitimate singing has not been lost for good in the musical theater world. Sure, it's nice to hear someone belt as high as they can every once in awhile, but it's even more rewarding to hear someone like Bernadette Peters sing "Losing My Mind" with utter control and ease and sound practically as good as she did in her 20's.
