I saw Freckleface Strawberry The Musical (Off Broadway) on 11/06/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 4-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “this is a delightful show that delivers the right message for kids while entertaining the grown-ups”

I had a fun time and left the show feeling amused and impressed. I'd describe the show as fast-paced, fresh, and endearing. If this were a movie, I'd rate it G. I would recommend this show to everyone, especially those bringing kids.

I saw this show because my niece was visiting. I would see it again. I sat in the center orchestra area of the theater. The view was perfect and the seats were great.

It's not always easy creating a show that will appeal to both kids and adults. The themes of feeling outcast and kids' taunting each other have been explored many times on stage. But Freckleface brings a fresh conversation to the table - sweet and endearing, without being sappy. The adult actors deliver wonderfully believable child-like performances. My 5-year-old niece, who's a big theater fan already, loved the show. She was captivated from start to finish.
