A Review of Hair (Broadway)
By Tony Marion, May 18, 2010
I saw Hair (Broadway), but I don't remember exactly when. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “Artistically simplistic and daring, yet sophisticated and classy”
I had a suprising enjoyable time and left the show feeling moved and enlightened . I'd describe the show as groundbreaking, amazing , and fufilling. The amazing voices was a highlight of the show because they fit the power of the music well. If this were a movie, I'd rate it Adult Only. I would recommend this show to friends, family, collueges but not to kids.
I saw this show because I was given tickets. I would see it again. I sat in the center orchestra area of the theater. The view was full view and the seats were comfy.
Hair was one of the most amazing theater experiences I have ever had. Knowing the subject matter, I did not look forward to seeing the show. However, the amazing direction brought about a classy and sophisticated night of theater, even though the entire cast was fully frontal at the end of act one. At the end of the show, I think every audience member in that theater had chills. The end of HAIR is worth every penny you will spend on the show, it is breathtaking. I recommend this show to EVERYONE, over 17.
