I saw ImaginOcean (Off Broadway) on 07/03/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 4-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “an imaginative adventure with a great look that captivates young and old(er) alike.”

I had a phenomenal time and left the show feeling entertained and amused. I'd describe the show as imaginative, creatively impressive, and visually stimulating. If this were a movie, I'd rate it G.

I saw this show because I was looking for a show that would appearl to my 5-year-old niece. I sat in the center orchestra area of the theater. The view was great and the seats were comfortable but legroom was a little tight.

The show cleverly uses black light to create the "under water" feel and allows the audience to fully fall into the fantasy world. Great performances bring the fish to life and the storyline keeps everyone entertained. The show is only 50 minutes long and keeps moving, which helps keep the attention of kids of all ages. Without spoiling anything, the show does pack a few atmospheric surprises, so kids sensitive to such things should be forewarned. Overall, ImaginOcean is a great treat.
