A Review of In The Heights (Broadway)
By Tony Marion, May 27, 2010
I saw In The Heights (Broadway) on 05/21/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “exciting, vibrant, and the best time you will ever have at the theater”
I had a phenomenal time and left the show feeling up lifted and excited. I'd describe the show as phenomenal, phenomenal, and phenomenal. The amazing dancing and music was a highlight of the show because it is all new, and original. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG. I would recommend this show to EVERYONE but not to people who are lifeless.
I saw this show because I took my sister to see her favorite star. I would see it again. I sat in the center orchestra area of the theater. The view was full view and the seats were hard.
What more can I say about IN THE HEIGHTS, its possibly one of the best shows created in the last ten years on Broadway. There is so much energy, and passion, and you can see the dancers sweat and give it their all. I sometimes can't enjoy this show, because I have chills the entire time from how good it is! This was my 9th time seeing In the Heights, I love to take people who have never seen a Broadway show before, or take people who have come off of a bad Broadway experience to show them what this industry is all about. I can't recommend this show enough, just GO, and go again, and again, and again and again!
