A Review of Jersey Boys (Broadway)
By Sarah P., July 25, 2010
I saw Jersey Boys (Broadway) on 07/24/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “classy, classic Broadway entertainment that appeals to anyone with ears.”
I had a uplifting time and left the show feeling happy and carefree. I'd describe the show as funny, poignant, and tuneful. Jarrod spector as frankie valli was a highlight of the show because he has one of the most amazing voices currently on Bway, and the similarity to Valli is uncanny. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13. I would recommend this show to anyone who appreciates good music but not to possibly little kids because of the swearing.
I saw this show because I got free tickets from work. I would see it again. I sat in the right orchestra area of the theater. The view was decent (although I had a tall guy in front of me) and the seats were adequate.
This was my third time seeing JB, and it never fails to thrill and entertain!! Was somewhat disappointed to see understudies on for Nick Massi and Bob Gaudio, as I love Matt Bogart and Sebastian Arcelus in those roles, but it was still an excellent show. Definitely a must-see!
