I saw La Bete (Broadway) on 01/08/11. Overall, I'd say it was a 3-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “Fabulous acting in an odd but interesting comedy”

I had a great time and left the show feeling thoroughly amused and entertained. I'd describe the show as quirky, rhyming, and funny. Mark rylance's acting was a highlight of the show because he flawlessly delivered the longest, most nonsensical monologue I've ever heard. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG. I would recommend this show to anyone interested in unusual productions or commentary on the arts but not to kids or anyone looking for just a light show.

I saw this show because I have admired Mark Rylance as an actor for years. I wouldn't see it again. I sat in the right mezzanine area of the theater. The view was clear and the seats were unremarkable.
