I saw La Cage Aux Folles (Broadway) on 04/14/11. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “Harvey Fierstein is the reason to see this show right now.”

I had a magical time and left the show feeling exhilarated and proud to be gay. I'd describe the show as honest, funny, and so entertaining. The end of act1 when harvey sings i am what i am was a highlight of the show because each word rings true for everyone. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13. I would recommend this show to everyone but not to children under 13.

I saw this show because I wanted to see Harvey Fierstein in the play he wrote. I would see it again. I sat in the right mezzanine area of the theater. The view was perfect and the seats were comfortable but a little close together.

The show closes May 1st. Run to see it.
