I saw La Cage Aux Folles (Broadway) on 07/16/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “A timely revival with the current socio-political momentum of gay rights/vs the Right Wing”

I had a fabulous time and left the show feeling entertained and empowered. I'd describe the show as fun, sincere, and breath-taking. Douglas hodge was a highlight of the show because of his show-stopping rendition of "I Am What I Am". If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13. I would recommend this show to everyone but not to Right-Wing Christians or other religious fanatics!.

I saw this show because I didn't see the original, and was in the mood to have fun. I would see it again. I sat in the right orchestra area of the theater. The view was clear and the seats were your typical theatre seats.

Although I'm sure it wasn't intended, the timing of this revival is perfect. The most touching moments of the show were the finale of Act I (see comments regarding Hodge's rendition of "I Am...") and during the second act, the recognition of Albin as the true mother of Jean-Michel, despite the rantings of the Dindon. This production speaks to the real challenges gay & lesbians face (in particular couples/families who are seeking to have their relationships validated with direct regard to legal equality) in today's American society. I laughed, I cried, I cheered and had a wonderful time!
