I saw La Cage Aux Folles (Broadway) on 06/12/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “A dazzling production with an amazing ensemble - definitely worthy of all the acclaim it's received”

I had a fantastic time and left the show feeling awed and invigorated. I'd describe the show as colorful, engaging, and empowering. Douglas hodge's performance of "i am what i am" was a highlight of the show because his touching rendition makes it the perfect anthem for anyone who takes pride in their individuality. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13. I would recommend this show to pretty much everyone but not to very conservative people.

I saw this show because it was nominated for numerous Tony awards. I would see it again. I sat in the center balcony area of the theater. The view was surprisingly good and the seats were fine.

This is a vibrant, entertaining show with an incredible ensemble. Every performer in it, from the extremely talented chorus members to Douglas Hodge and Kelsey Grammer, played his or her role perfectly. Regardless of your personal politics, the characters are charismatic and well-rounded, making the show more about having confidence and pride in yourself and your family than about anything else. It has everything that a great musical should - catchy songs, incredible dance numbers, a blend of humor and depth, and characters you can relate to. To top it all off, the theater is even decked out in pink, sparkling chandeliers - what could be better than that?
