I saw La Cage Aux Folles (Broadway) on 05/20/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 3-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “a bit lack luster, uncomfortable, with great performances”

I had a dissapointing time and left the show feeling a bit uneasy and wanting more. I'd describe the show as well designed, touching, and a bit boreing . Kelsey grammer, and douglass hodge was a highlight of the show because without them the show would have been a repeat of the last revival. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13. I would recommend this show to regular theater goers but not to kids, families.

I saw this show because I am a fan of Kelsey Grammer. I wouldn't see it again. I sat in the center orchestra area of the theater. The view was Clear and the seats were very comfortable.

I am very disappointed in the revival of La Cage, because there is so much buzz about it. The show was boring in my opinion, I just wanted more show stopping numbers, and I didnt get them, it did not move fast enough for me, in my opinion. The performances were great, but I think my problem is, I am a HUGE fan of the movie THE BIRDCAGE, and frankly, I think its much better than the actual show La Cage. So I found myself comparing the show to the movie throughout the entire evening, and it really ruined my experience. Dont get me wrong, its a great show and does deserve to win best musical because it is the best production I have seen of a show that is already okay, it just was not my cup of tea, and not something that I would recommend to everyone.
