I saw Look Back in Anger (Off Broadway) on 02/08/12. Overall, I'd say it was a 3-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “it was worth a look”

The acting was excellent. The male lead reminded me of a young Richard Burton. The staging was unique and very interesting. The play itself is a bit depressing so don't go expecting an uplifting night of theater. I am told that this play is where the expression "angry young man" comes from. Reminded me of the Who's Affraid of Virginia Wolf tirades. They did the most they could with this play. The material itself was not very strong, just angry! It was originally staged in the 50's. One minor charactor from the original play was eliminated and I am thinking that maybe he should have been left in? That said I was still glad I saw the production.
