I saw Memphis (Broadway) on 09/30/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “Powerful energy and acting.”

I had a foot stomping, hand clapping time and left the show feeling lucky to be there and proud to be born in Tennessee. I'd describe the show as fast paced,, lyrical, and fun.. The female lead was a highlight of the show because she's from Florida and belts it out. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13. I would recommend this show to anyone but not to na.

I saw this show because it was a TOny winner. I would see it again. I sat in the center mezzanine area of the theater. The view was perfect and the seats were tight.
