A Review of Next To Normal (Broadway)
By Ari R., August 03, 2010
I saw Next To Normal (Broadway), but I don't remember exactly when. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “Saw this show on a whim, and boy am i glad I did. People will be talking about this show for years!”
I had a emotional time and left the show feeling drained and optimistic. I'd describe the show as vibrant, touching, and honest. The set was a highlight of the show because it perfectly matched the feeling of the show. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13. I would recommend this show to anyone with emotions but not to people with family members who have mental illness.
I saw this show because I didn't get the lottery at Hair. I would see it again. I sat in the center orchestra area of the theater. The view was obstructed and the seats were tight.
Sat in the very last row of the orchestra, and couldn't see an entire song sung by the son.
