I saw On a Clear Day You Can See Forever (Broadway) on 01/11/12. Overall, I'd say it was a 4-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “it is well worth a look if you are a Connick fan or never saw the original”

I sat in the right orchestra area of the theater. .

The singing in the show is top notch. It was great to see Harry Connick, Jr. but David Turner, Jessie Mueller and Kerry O'Malley are standouts as well. I never saw the original and new not that much about it aside from the Barbara Striesand songs, so it was new to me. The critics seem to be hating on this show but I found it interesting and comical. The scene where Mark dances with David/Melinda was very cute. All of the small chorus members were each very talented as well. The sets and costumes were a throw back to the Mod 70's! Very inventive. Some of the best songs are not delivered by the "star" but by the supporting cast. Definately a quirky story line (the weekest part of the show) but worth a look. HCJ should be a draw for a while but see it soon, the critics are out to close it.
