I saw Priscilla Queen of the Desert (Broadway) on 03/10/11. Overall, I'd say it was a 5-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “A splashy, fluffy piece of good-time fun a la "Mamma Mia," but infinitely more gay (hooray)!”

I had a invigorating time and left the show feeling amused and carefree. I'd describe the show as campy, dazzling, and entertaining. Tony sheldon and nick adams was a highlight of the show because Sheldon's acting was divine, and Nick stole the show. If this were a movie, I'd rate it R. I would recommend this show to anyone who enjoys disco hits, boas and sequins but not to people who take the theatre way too seriously.

I saw this show because I got comp tickets and was dying to see it anyway. I would see it again. I sat in the center orchestra area of the theater. The view was excellent and the seats were pretty comfortable.

Still not quite as brilliant as the original film - which is a bit deeper, I think, whereas this is more of a sparkling, fun confection - but true enough to its spirit and characters while adding its own brand of Broadway razzle-dazzle. Tony Sheldon added a good amount of realism with his magnificently subtle performance, which is sure to garner him at least a Tony nomination!
