I saw Promises, Promises (Broadway) on 07/18/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 3-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “Boasts a genius performance by Katie Finneran and great choreography, but overall, it falls flat. ”

I had a decent time and left the show feeling mildly entertained. I'd describe the show as funny, bouncy, and energetic. Katie finneran was a highlight of the show because her performance was brilliant and hilarious. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13.

I saw this show because I wanted to see the two leads and hear the score live. I wouldn't see it again. I sat in the left mezzanine area of the theater. The view was a bit too far away and the seats were comfortable, but slightly squished.

Sean Hayes gave a fairly decent performance, although I could sometimes see a bit of his character from Will and Grace slipping into his mannerisms and delivery. Kristin Chenoweth was okay. Her voice was great, of course, but she just seemed a bit off. Katie Finneran, however, stole the show with her two scenes. Her comedic timing and abilities were absolutely magnificent.
