I saw Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles (Broadway) on 10/19/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 2-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “It was a very awkward Broadway experience”

I had a bizarre time and left the show feeling awkward and confused. I'd describe the show as Vegas, weird, and concert-y. The awesome music was a highlight of the show because it's Beatles music. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG. I would recommend this show to Beatles fans but not to most people.

I saw this show because I like the Beatles. I wouldn't see it again. I sat in the left orchestra area of the theater. The view was fine and the seats were comfy.

I feel like everyone likes The Beatles because the music is a huge part of our culture. But this was just weird. They sounded like The Beatles, and they looked like The Beatles, but it wasn't really The Beatles so I couldn't understand why people were reacting like they were. There was some audience participation, which I do not appreciate, as well as some sing-alongs. I liked the music, obviously, but I'd rather just put on my iPod and jam to Sgt. Pepper. I wanted to like it, but I wasn't able to suspend my disbelief and think that they were actually The Beatles, especially since they broke "character" a few times and didn't act like John, Paul, George, or Ringo.
