A Review of Relatively Speaking: 3 One-Act Comedies (Broadway)
By Jack H., November 10, 2011
I saw Relatively Speaking: 3 One-Act Comedies (Broadway) on 11/09/11. Overall, I'd say it was a 3-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “it had some ups and downs”
The first play by Ethan Cohen was the weakest. The four actors did the most with what they were given to work with. Those that want to blame their parents for all of what happens to them will love it! The second play by Elaine May was very good and the material was brought to a higher level by Marlo Thomas, Lisa Emery and Grant Shaud. The best of the plays was Woody Allen's, HONEYMOON MOTEL. Many many laughs. The cast was excellent all around. Several actors from the first two plays participated in this one and were great. All of the acting was first rate by many actors that had familiar faces from TV and movie work. A great medium for these one act plays.
