I saw The 39 Steps (Off Broadway) on 05/24/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 3-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “This was an entertaining evening at the theater! I am glad I saw it, but I wasnt blown away.”

The acting in The 39 Steps was superb-- absolutely spot on, but the story was entirely forgettable. I couldnt even tell you the storyline now, and it's only been 5 hours since I saw the show! This play is really an actors dream-- ALL about the physical comedy and cool lighting effects. Definitely see this show if you're into physical acting and telling a story through movement. Don't see it if you're mostly driven by plot and script based theater.
