I saw West Side Story (Broadway) on 11/17/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 3-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “Great dancing, amazing acting, inexperienced cast, singing did not live up to expectations”

I had a pretty good time and left the show feeling paritally satisfied and a little disappointed. I'd describe the show as energetic, funny, and lacking experience. Maria was a highlight of the show because she was an effortless soprano. If this were a movie, I'd rate it PG-13. I would recommend this show to everyone but not to experienced theater goers.

I saw this show because I had heard a lot of hype about the broadway rivival . I would see it again. I sat in the center orchestra area of the theater. The view was clear and the seats were good.

I had high expectations when going to see this show, however with the new spanish adaptation major scenes had all spanish dialogue between the characters and it made it hard to connect to the actors when you could only guess what they were saying. Also the iconic songs such as "I Feel Pretty" were also in spanish and were only saved by the Maria in the show alternating some english lines into the song.

In our show the understudy of Riff fell short in singing and acting, however the Anita, Tony, and Maria made up for it. Although it is a cast meant for a younger cast all of the "my first time on broadway" descriptions in the playbill were sorely witnessed when it came to the acting and singing. The dancing was amazing and all of the major characters lived up to expectations but as an overall ensemble it fell short.
