I saw Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (Broadway) on 11/13/10. Overall, I'd say it was a 4-star rating. I'd summarize it by saying “I wish this had been a play. Don't let the terrible opening number sour you for the whole show.”

This show would have been PERFECT as a play with a little bit of added music. The opening number had me wondering what the heck they did to this poor show. But it did get better, though not much as far as the music is concerned.

The cast is amazing. There is so much talent on stage at any one time, the scenes are perfectly executed, the timing is precise, everything flows perfectly.

Then they sing a song. If you ignore most of the lyrics on almost all of them and just watch the choreography it's much easier to stomach.

Sherie Rene Scott and Laura Benanti are really good in this show. Benanti's Candela is definitely a scene-stealer.
